La Place Bistro & Froggies Bar
La Place is a bistro restaurant & bar in central Winchester in a wonderful location overlooking the cathedral. It is a short walk from the high street and central parking.
The restaurant upstairs is spacious and has a French ambience, whilst the à la carte menu also introduces an international flavour.
Froggies bar at street level is an ideal rendezvous for a glass of wine or coffee, and also serves lunch & specials, with of course our signature bar planches.
During the day one can enjoy the view of the Cathedral with a snack or coffee, and we are open every day from 11.00am.
In the evenings the wine bar Froggies is lively yet discerning, and with a continental atmosphere for easy conversation.
The La Place bistro can be busy and one is advised to book, the food is always sure to delight and is prepared freshly to award winning standards.
The Bar & Restaurant takes reservations for private dining and festive functions, but Froggies will always be open late morning and for a splendid lunch or snack, with specials as for every other day.
